Sunbird, Inc. is pleased to offer work-study opportunities for students whose college or university curriculum corresponds to our company’s business processes. Students must come from an accredited college, university or technical school that has a formal Internship program which offers credit for internship experience.
Program Objectives:

- Train students in different aspects of our operations; help them better understand business principles and practices.
- Provide students the opportunity to test their interest in a particular career before permanent commitments are made.

Responsibilities:
To gain these benefits, students participating in Sunbird’s work-study or internship program should be prepared to abide by the following guidelines:
- Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures, and rules governing professional staff behavior.
- Adhere to company and professional ethics governing the handling of confidential information and the observation of confidentiality.
- Assume personal and professional responsibility for his/her actions and activities.
- Maintain professional relationships with company employees, clients, and customers, both internal and external.
- Approach company policies and procedures with an open mind, and an honest desire for improvement.
- Work on applying knowledge acquired in the classroom to real- world business situations.
- Develop a self-awareness of attitudes, values, and behavior patterns that influence the work environment.
- Prepare for and utilize learning opportunities such as training, meetings, or conferences offered by the company.
- Complete work assignments in a thorough, consistent, and punctual manner.
- Provide the College’s faculty coordinator with any required progress reports.
Sunbird Interns will receive training in the major functional areas of the organization. Managers and mentors will guide and assess Interns on their progress as they cycle in and out of the typical areas within each department. Interns will get "hands-on" experience with equipment or processes used in our industry. Sunbird is committed to helping those individuals get started in their careers and give them all the necessary tools to do so!
