How is your software licensed?
The software license is rack based for dcTrack Operations or node based for PowerIQ Monitoring, all features and functionality are included with no limit on the number of sites, users, square footage, or integration points accessing the software. Licensing is pay as you grow giving you the ability to start small and expand as needed. Additional expansion packs can be purchased later as you grow and add more racks or nodes to your data center.
Am I limited to the number of users?
No, the software license is good for an unlimited number of users.
Do I need to buy services?
No, you do not need to buy services, however, most of our customers have found that the fastest and easiest way to come up to speed and start working from day one is to buy our 4-day Quick Start.
Do I need to pay a year up front?
For the subscription based pricing model, yes a year up front commitment would be needed.
Is there an extra cost to upgrade to a new release?
No. All updates are included with annual maintenance contract and annual subscriptions.
What is required to host the DCIM system on premise?
Sunbird’s DCIM solution runs on two Virtual Server instance on VMware’s vSphere ESX/ESXi configured in a High Availability or Fault Tolerant configuration. Depending on the number of servers supported and the associated operations, each Virtual Server instance minimally requires 8 GB RAM, 160GB Disk, and 4 CPU cores. Our VMware Ready system includes the required Linux OS; SQL data base and application software with no additional third party licensing or maintenance charge for the OS and database.
Is Sunbird DCIM available as a hosted offer?
Yes. Sunbird’s DCIM is available as a hosted Software as a Services (SAAS) offer. For a quote, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is covered in the annual maintenance contract?
Annual maintenance contract customers receive access to the Sunbird support portal to open and track support tickets and get access to chat or phone support, new feature updates, models library updates, security updates, technical FAQs, product documentation, important technical bulletins, community forums, new feature requests, and online training. Additionally, customers are invited to participate in our software betas and regional user group sessions.
